“good To Me”
Still dusting off old songs. Maybe I’ll get around to re-recording . ..

He’s so good to me
He picks me up and I’m balanced on His knee
He holds me close and I can see
He has a picture in His wallet of me
For all the angels to see
And He’s so good to me
He speaks my language fluently
There are no “thee”s and “thou”s:
No “peradventure“s are allowed
When my heart hears His sound
When His voice just hangs around
And it doesn’t seem that this should be
To pour Your love into the comedy, that is me
It’s a tragedy when seen scene by scene by me
Thought I’m still wailing, I’m still railing
I’m still nailing Him to a tree
He’s still good to me
Daily, new mercies cover me
So I’m inhaling, and then praising
Though still nailing Him it seems to that tree
He’s still so good to me daily
He’s so good to me
And it doesn’t seem that this should be
To pour Your love into the comedy, that is me
It’s a tragedy when seen scene by scene by me
And how great the Father’s love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
And Make this wretch His treasure

I remember when I knew how to play piano like this, many moons ago.
