School Is Almost Over (some Reflections)
I have learned:
That the family you adopt is worth more than can be described.
That when evil presents itself, one cannot sit silently, but one must keep their head.
That God remains in control, of everything, and has a plan for our benefit.
That I love my kids
That I hate stupid people
That passion is passion is passion
That endings beget beginnings
That I don’t know how to do anything else, nor would I want to.

They grow up too bloody fast. . .
I managed not to cry until they flipped their tassles, then I was done.

Saying Goodbye To My Kids (again)

I got into this habit of ending the year with my seniors by singing to them.
Yeah. Random, but I’m all about those meaningful things which takes you back to being a kid. Think about it: it’s only elementary school where a teacher reading picture books aloud and singing corny songs in the name of education is the norm, but we still learned. I’d like to think I’m bringing it back.
So I sing. One song in particular, which has evolved over the years: Benediction. My last bit of advice for them; father’s advice.
I sing, they cry, I swear, they laugh, we say “see you later,” because I have a problem with “goodbye.”
This year I recorded this song (and two others I did for an example of class projects) and uploaded them for my kids. They were uploaded to Myspace (meet people where they are at). I included the link inside of cards I wrote to each of them individually. More father’s advice.
This led to an influx of Myspace Friend requests on a site I rarely use. The kicker: most of my kids changed their Myspace pages to play our song when it is opened. The first thing they and anyone else who logs on to their page will here, is me singing to my kids.
It was my turn to cry. Bastards.
But here they are
Sermon On The Sabbath
Here is the link to the last time they were crazy enough to let me preach.
It was about the purpose and meaning of the sabbath, and why maybe you need to switch churches.
From Luke chapter 6.

Even got dudes with withered hands. What more can you want?
Here is the Trailhead page about it
